A little story about the candle, Sniff designs candle fragrances with strong memory connections, this one is from the cotton sheets drying in the hot sun, love the idea.
My favourite memory scents are epoxy resin and wood shavings, takes me straight back to my grandfathers workshop, and the dry dusty smell of parched winter grass on the highveldt.
What are your strongest memory scents?
My mother's lipstick when kissing me goodnight whenever she went out for dinner. Such a glamorous scent. And my grandmother's homemade hand cream. Sadly the recipe went to her grave.
ReplyDeleteOh what lovely memory scents! You need to investigate that hand cream recipe, I would love to make my own hand cream. My mother, being an artist who worked with oil paint, always smelled of turps. But I still find the smell of turps really comforting.
